Antique Louis XV fireplace mantel from the 19th century. The mantel is made from Carrara white marble, quarried in the region of Carrara, in northern Tuscany. The serpentine breakfront shelf is centered by a central shell and the decorated endblocks sit above angled, paneled jamb on sturdy footblocks. This lovely mantel has the original patina.
