Impressive, beautiful and richly carved Louis XV fireplace from France, 19th century
This fireplace is executed in impeccable Belgian black marble.
The doubled moulded shelf above a serpentine frieze centred by a large shell cartouche, framed by acanthus leaves, flanked by floral endblocks above angled panelled jambs embellished with acanthus detail above plain footblocks
The hand-painted porcelain insert displays a beautiful detailed town square, it is signed A’te Houet.
This incredible fireplace is ready to be shipped and installed.
