Limestone Louis XV Fireplace Mantel from France.
Grande French Louis XV Fireplace mantel, very impressive appearance with great dimensions and proportions.
The moulded shelf is integral to the frieze which is centred by a symmetrical shell with heavy C scrolled endblocks on an angled and paneled jamb supported bij round footblocks.
Mantel is made from 3 solid blocks.
This country style fireplace come from a large manor building in the Burgundy area, great patina and atmosfere.
Depth can be altered, left lower footblock has been restored.
